Monday

Lord Jesus Christ, with deep humility I acknowledge and confess that throughout the day I sin against Your divine love. Therefore, today, as it is Monday and the start of the week, I humbly pray for Your great mercy: forgive me my sins, both voluntary and involuntary, and help me to make a good start and to take greater care of my soul, for which You endured so much suffering at Your Holy Crucifixion!

O Lord, today I give You my soul and my body and my will, beseeching You that Your will be done in me, according to Your good pleasure. Chastise me, O Lord, according to Your mercy, in this world, and not in the life to come. And forgive both the living and the departed, through the prayers of Your Holy Church, and make us all worthy of Your glory in heaven. To this end I call upon Your holy angels as intercessors, to whom I say: O heavenly helpers and guardians of mankind, I worship you and give you thanks for the help and guidance you give us every day, we who are unworthy and sinners. Deliver me from my enemies, both visible and invisible, that I may sin no more before my God from this day forward! Grant that at my death I may see you standing round me and leading my soul to heaven, that it may worship the majesty of God’s Face, and that I may give thanks to you there for the care you have shown me, and proclaim your goodness with an unceasing voice for ever.
