The Lord’s Day reminds me of Your Almighty Power, O Lord, with which You created the world and redeemed mankind. To You, therefore, O Lord, lover of mankind, I bow down and give You my deepest thanks for the great gifts You have bestowed and continue to bestow upon all Your creatures.

My heart rejoices and delights as I sit and reflect that You alone are the All-Holy, All-Wise, Almighty God, beyond comprehension, so that no goodness and no glory is lacking in You. You are the One God in Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. You alone do I know as the true God; I confess You and glorify You; to You I worship and serve You always, with all my heart and with all my strength.

O Holy Father, have mercy on us! O Blessed Son of God, save us from hell! O Holy Spirit, grant me Your Gift and Your protection!
Most merciful Lord, I beseech You to forgive my many sins, according to the abundance of Your mercies. I thank You with all my heart for the blessings You send me every day, but even more so for Your great patience, that You have not punished me according to the multitude of my sins, but await my repentance, as an All-Good and Merciful Forgiver.

Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to live well and in a Christian manner this week, and to sin no more against You, neither in thought, nor in word, nor in deed, to the glory and honour of Your Resurrection on the third day and the descent of Your Holy Spirit upon the Apostles.

In particular, I pray for Your help, Most Good Lord, that I may know myself, repent of my sins and be set right through confession; and at the hour of my death may I be found prepared, having received Holy Communion and with a pure heart, and may I be found worthy of Your eternal Kingdom.

Amen.
